Our family winery is nestled on Kövecs Hill, at the edge of Csörnyeföld, right by the Hungarian-Austrian-Slovenian tri-border. It was founded in 1989 by our father, Dr. László Bussay. The winery is a splendid proof of the unwavering dedication of both him and our mother, Dr. Ágnes Ratkovics, through which Zala County proudly reclaimed its spot on Hungary’s wine map. After our father’s passing in 2014, we, Dóri and Bianka, took over the reins of the vineyard. Our 5.5-hectare vineyard, managed with yield limitation, ensures that each vine produces just one bottle of wine. We adhere to the principle in bringing the highest quality grapes into the cellar and striving not to diminish their excellence. Even in less favorable vintages, our wines are known for their remarkable concentration, full body, and exceptional acidity structure. We are committed to allowing our wines to mature naturally in oak barrels. Our production is exclusively for bottling, as we view winemaking as a vocation through which we seek to create value in a traditional manner. We hold the belief that a good glass of wine serves as a seamless bridge in any conversation.
